Present Perfect Continuous Tense

[has/have + been +  present participle (verb + ing)]

The Present Perfect Continuous is used to express:

 1. an action which started in the past and is still continuing now.

   • We have been watching TV for two hours.
   • James has been teaching at the university since 2004.
